Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat, has accused the Department of Defense (Dod) of failing to adequately address potential corruption of President Donald Trump's family in relation to defense contracts. This follows a January inquiry by Warren seeking answers about the agency's contracting with the Trump children. The Pentagon responded to Warren's questions, stating that the Office of Strategic Capital is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards and ensuring that its investment decisions are free from conflicts of interest involving Department of War (DoW) personnel. However, Warren claims that the Defense Department lacks effective processes to ensure that contracts are fairly awarded to companies based on national security and defense requirements, rather than the financial interests of the President's family.
