Anthropic CEO, Dario Amodei, is reportedly taking another attempt at negotiating a deal with the Pentagon, following a recent controversy surrounding his company's use of the Claude AI model in the lead-up to the U.S. war with Iran. The Pentagon responded by declaring Anthropic a supply-chain risk and restricting businesses with government contracts from working with Anthropic for six months. However, this was delayed by the Pentagon's busy use of Claude AI for mass surveillance and autonomous weapons during the time of the Iran war. Amodee is reportedly in talks with under-secretary of defense for research and engineering, Emil Michael, who previously described Amodeo as a liar and has a God-complex. The Information Technology Industry Council, which includes Nvidia, Amazon, Apple, and OpenAI, expressed concern over reports about an unnamed tech company in a dispute with The Pentagon.
