Barrie Tomlinson, the editor of British comic Roy of the Rovers, has died at the age of 88. Tomljan, known for his role in the creation of the character Roy Race, influenced the character's development and creation of its standalone title. He also contributed to the character’s creation and publishing of several popular comic books. The tributes have been paid to him, with Hibernia comics describing him as a “master of publicity and a comic writer of some skill.
