Two Emirati airlines, Etihad and FlyDubai, have resumed flying to Israel since the Iran war began on February 28. This makes them the first and few foreign carriers to resume flights, placing them ahead of all major European and American airlines. The resumption of service reflects the close cooperation and increasing ties between the two countries. The UAE was the first signatory of the landmark 2020 Abraham Accords, which saw four Arab countries make peace with Israel. The return of these airlines is expected to restore pent-up demand for the Israel market, particularly as the Emirates is a significant air route for passengers from Israel.
