The Weather Channel has shared a video showing three Syrian Brown Bears who were rescued from appalling conditions in Yerevan, Armenia. The rescued animals were able to wake up from their first hibernation after three months of sleep. The Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets’ rescue center provided the video. The rescue involved a court-ordered confiscation, police intervention, and transport under heavy rain and darkness. The animals are now thriving at their new animal sanctuary.
