Players start prep for 2026 Masters

The first practice round for the 90th Masters Tournament began at Augusta National Golf Club on Monday. The current field of 91 players is down from last year's 96, which was the seventh-largest field in the tournament's history. Qualification for the prestigious tournament is based on world ranking or performance at other tournaments throughout the year. Collin Morikawa, who ranks No. 7 in the world, has been dealing with back issues ahead of the Masters. Former Georgia Bulldog golfer Harris English emphasized the importance of short game in preparation for the tournament. The Masters will begin Thursday and will conclude Sunday.
