The North Carolina primary elections are set to take place on March 3, 2026, with voters choosing the next U.S. representative for North Carolina’s District 8, which includes parts of Anson, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Richmond, Robeson, Scotland, Stanly and Union counties. The North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles allows for online registration, by mail, or at the North Carolina department of motor vehicles. Registered voters can use same-day registration to register to vote and cast their ballot on the same day. The deadline for registration to vote for the March 3 election was Feb. 6, 2025. The early voting period ends on Feb. 28, which means same day voter registration ends for those intending to vote, also ends on February.
