The opening night of SXSW saw the first three episodes of Apple TV's upcoming family dramedy, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, screened at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas. The series is based on Rufi Thorpe's 2024 novel and stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfieffer, and more. The audience was introduced by series creator David E. Kelley and a Q&A included Kelley, executive producer Eva Anderson, and actors Adam Offerman, Fanning and Pfeiffer. Margo's character, played by Pfieff, plays Margo, a 20-year-old daughter of a former Hooter's waitress and an ex-pro wrestler who struggles to make ends meet after an affair with her college professor leads to an unexpected pregnancy.
