Myungrang Hotdogs, a Korean-style corn dog shop popular with food influencer Keith Lee, is set to close its last location in Mesa on May 17. The restaurant, which opened next to the now-shuttered AZ International Marketplace in 2022, is known for its unique creations, including a sausage or cheese, which can be rolled in panko, studded with cubed potatoes, or finished with a crumble of Hot Cheetos and a drizzle of Sriracha mayo. This closure marks the end of a trend that saw several notable restaurants close, including Juanderful Tacos and food truck Hanas AZ. The owners plan to start selling Korean corn dogs at local festivals this winter.
