Airline CEOs Send Warning As Americans Face 4-Hour Airport Lines

Airline CEOs have urged Congress to end the Department of Homeland Security shutdown, citing longer airport wait times and unpaid TSA agents. The department has been without funding since Feb. 14 due to a dispute over federal immigration enforcement policies. The CEOs of several major airlines, including Alaska Air Group, American Airlines, Atlas Air, Delta, Southwest, Fedex, United, JetBlue, and UPS, have signed a letter urging Congress to resolve the issue. The letter also stated that Americans are tired of long lines at airports, travel delays, and flight cancellations due to the shutdown. Despite this, Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL), the top Republican negotiator on the issue, has called for an end to this stalemate.
