US President Donald Trump did not appear on Eretz Nehederet, the Israeli comedy show on Keshet 12, which has been chronicling the war. Quentin Tarantino, the Oscar-winning director of Pulp Fiction, appeared in the opening skit showing how people headed to shelters. Tarantino had been living in Israel with his wife, actress/singer Daniella Pick, and their two children for several years. Host Eyal Kitzis said the war inspired Tarantino to make a new version of the film, which featured the famous “Misirlou” song and a doctored clip of John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson in a car from the film. While Trump stayed at the White House this week, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth (Eran Zarahovitch) showed up at the Oscars dressed like Rambo.
