East Bay woman sentenced to prison for elder theft

Marin County prosecutors have dismissed their case against Qingyun Chen, a fraud suspect, after she was sentenced to two years in prison for allegedly stealing $50,000 from a 79-year-old woman through an internet scam. The case was dismissed by the Marin County District Attorney’s Office after a motion was filed by the Department of Energy.
