However, Judge Phaedra F. Perry-Bond stated that the film was carefully curated and nuanced, and included counterstatements to the defamatory statements. He dismissed the lawsuit entirely, noting that Combs is somewhat "libel-proof" due to his federal prostitution conviction and slew of civil sexual misconduct cases.
