This announcement comes as part of an effort to avoid "side quests" and focus on the most pressing issue. Other notable departures include Kevin Weil, who was the company's VP of AI for Science and its chief product officer, and its Prism, a research-focused “workspace for scientists, which is being sunsetted and will be folded into the Codex desktop app.
