Colorado Avalanche coach Jared Bednar has stated that Scott Wedgewood's strong play could make his playoff decision for Game 1 of the playoffs a difficult decision. Despite the recent 2-0 win against the Dallas Stars, Wedgewwood's performance has made it difficult for Bednar to make a decision on who will start Game 1. The Avalanche has had the best tandem in the NHL this season, with both Wedewood and Mackenzie Blackwood likely to win the Vezina Trophy. As a tandem, they are close to winning the team goalending award, the William Jennings Trophy, given to the team which allows the fewest goals during the regular season. The Avs have allowed 20 fewer goals than any other team.
