Texas leaders demand action after Austin mass shooting

The Austin Police Department responded to an active shooting at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, with three people confirmed dead and 14 injured. The incident is being investigated as a possible act of terrorism. Several Democratic lawmakers, including U.S. Rep. Greg Casar (D-Texas), and gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa (D) from Texas' 49th congressional district, offered their condolences. The shooting occurred near Buford's Bar and is being referred to as an "unspeakable nightmare" by local officials.
