Poll: Talarico, Paxton hold slim edge heading into Tuesday primary

A new poll from Emerson College has revealed that Texas state Rep. James Talarico (D) and state Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) are currently leading in their respective Texas Senate primary races. The survey found that 52% of likely Democratic primary voters backed Talaric, while 47% backed Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D). Paxton received support from four in 10 likely GOP primary voters, while Cornyn received 36% of voters and 17% from Rep. Wesley Hunt (R). Both results are within the margin of error. President Trump has not endorsed either of the three candidates.
