'Most wanted' man arrested in California 14 years after deadly Skagit County hit-and-run

Manuel Cortez-Vargas, a fugitive from Washington State Patrol (WSP) for 14 years, has been arrested in California after failing to appear in court for a deadly hit-and-run charge. The incident occurred in 2002 when 19-year-old Cameron Sheridan was killed in a rollover collision. Cortez vigorous was placed on the WSP's Most Wanted list in 2012. He will be extradited to Skagit County to continue court proceedings.
