Las Vegas Raiders general manager John Spytek has stated that the return of star defensive end Maxx Crosby to the team was welcomed back after the Baltimore Ravens backed out of a deal to acquire him for two first-round picks. This follows Spytek's decision to trade Crosby to Baltimore after several weeks of speculation, fueled by Crosby advocate Jay Glazer. The Ravens rescinded the offer after meeting with Crosby and evaluating his medical imaging. Spytek had previously agreed to trade the player to Baltimore. The Raiders are currently in position to select No. 1 in the NFL draft, a pick they are expected to use on quarterback Fernando Mendoza. The team has also signed center Tyler Linderbaum, making him the highest-paid interior lineman in history, a three-year deal for $81 million.
