The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers are working without pay at some airports across the country amid a partial government shutdown, causing unpredictable security lines. In Atlanta, travelers were warned about two-hour wait times for passengers and for those with disabilities were particularly challenging. The shutdown began in mid-February after no funding for the Department of Homeland Security was depleted. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned that if Congress cannot agree on funding the Department for Homeland Security, air travel will become more difficult.
