Epic and Disney now let Fortnite creators make Star Wars games

Epic Games and Disney have made a significant partnership to allow Fortnite creators to create custom Star Wars-themed games and experiences. The feature is launching on Thursday and will be available to be published for players on May 1st. The partnership is part of Epic's ongoing efforts to give creators more control over the Star Wars universe. If they create a Star Wars themed island, they must agree to give Disney 20 percent of their payout share. Disney has been an "amazing" partner on making Star Wars assets available for UEFN creators. In 2024, Disney plans to invest $1.5 billion in Epic and partner with the company to build a "persistent universe" tied to the game.
