The 107 Texas Tech Health El Paso medical students discovered their future plans during Match Day, a special ceremony that was held on March 20. The students were informed about their future at a private event at the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech health El Paso. The class included 13 students from El Paso and Las Cruces. The dean of the school, Eric Rohren, stated that this was an exciting day for the students as they prepare to graduate and find out what type of doctor they will become. The student's parents, Mason Bettes, and Bobak Zakhireh, both students, will be attending Texas Tech in Lubbock and Duke University respectively. Since its founding in 2009, the Foster School has significantly contributed to increasing the number of physicians in the Borderplex region from 1,034 to 1,792.
