Deadly hit-and-run shuts down part of Interstate 19

A deadly hit-and-run accident has shut down part of Interstate 19 in Phoenix, Arizona, causing a significant disruption to the northbound lanes. The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that the suspected vehicle left the scene and is believed to be a Mercedes sprinter van with damage to the front driver’s side. The area is expected to remain closed until after 8:30am.
