The professional conspiracy theorists are attempting to discredit NASA's Artemis II mission, which successfully looped its crew around the moon to get a close-up look at its surface before returning home. The latest conspiracy theory involves confusion over why the far side of the moon could have light shining on it in photos taken by the Artemis II crew. The "dark side" isn't permanently dark, it receives sunlight just like the side facing Earth. However, scientists have stated that this nickname causes a lot of unnecessary confusion and they prefer to refer to it as the "far" side. The conspiracy theorists have ignored these technical glitches and are using them to discredit the project.
