Marist's Briggs Corona, a major football recruit, has chosen Ball State for the men's volleyball program. He had considered several football coaches from Iowa, Purdue, Fresno State, and USC for the position. Corona, who is a junior outside hitter in football, brings back the most experience from the two-time defending state champion RedHawks. He performed well in the 24-team Marist Invitational, which ended in Chicago. Despite his limited playing time last season, Corona has been taking more responsibility this spring due to the RedHawk's inexperience.
