$2 billion DC Blox data center proposal sparks discussion in Indianapolis

A forum was held to discuss a proposed $2 billion data center on the east side of Indianapolis. The 150-acre project would be built in two phases, with three buildings. Once approved, the company plans to begin construction two years later. The project would create 600 construction jobs but only 40 permanent positions. However, some residents were skeptical about the plans, stating that sound pollution would still be a concern. The next step is a public hearing before the Metropolitan Development Commission on June 11.
