‘There’s a lot of great reasons to be here’: Dolphins introduce quarterback Malik Willis

The Miami Dolphins have introduced free agent Malik Willis to the team, signing him to a three-year contract following the release of longtime starter Tua Tagovailoa. Willis, who has been developing as a backup and spot starter for several seasons, said his familiarity with Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan played a significant role in his decision to join the team. While the expectation is that Willis will compete for the starting job, he is focused on continuing to grow within the league. Willis also praised his new teammates' ability to interact with players and said leadership must be earned over time.
