Justice Department Sues New Mexico, Albuquerque for Obstructing Federal Immigration Enforcement

The Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against the State of New Mexico and the City of Albuquerque for obstructing federal immigration enforcement. The lawsuit alleges that a recent state law and city ordinance infringe on federal rights. The federal government is empowered to regulate immigration policy.
