Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham of New Mexico is yet to make a final decision on whether New Mexico will participate in a federal education tax credit program for education. Students eligible to receive scholarships as long as their family's annual income does not exceed 300% of their area’s median income. Critics argue that the program could lead to less federal spending on public schools due to less revenue from taxpayers.
