US Senate agrees Homeland Security funding - but not for ICE

The US Senate has unanimously agreed to a compromise on Homeland Security funding, removing ICE and parts of border protection from the measure. This decision is expected to significantly disrupt disruption at airports across the country. The 50,000 TSA agents have been working without pay since mid-February due to the shutdown, leading to increased attendance and decreased productivity. The agreement comes after Democrats refused to compromise on reforms to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
