The month of April has been characterized by numerous fluctuating temperatures throughout the year, but with weather systems leaving Western Washington for the rest of the month, it is expected to be a slightly warmer month than average for April 2026. The transition to sunnier weather will be Friday, with some patchy morning fog in some sheltered river valleys and low spots, followed by some sunshine area-wide. However, the weather is uncertain as Sunday may bring a few mountain showers and lowland clouds, but still expect significant sunshine. The forecast also indicates that the warm, dry, and breezy weather could promote the spread of tree pollen, which has been seen many days in the past several weeks.
