Four medical providers in the East Bay have been ordered to pay $3.8 million for unlawful billing practices. They allegedly attempted to charge patients at a Newark clinic for COVID-19 testing and vaccination services, violating California's statutory ban on such practices. The defendants are barred from using false or misleading advertising or engaging in unlawful business practices.
