Mercedes driver George Russell has stated that the Formula 1 (F1) drivers are aligned on the changes to the sport's regulations ahead of the next round in Miami. These concerns stem from the three-fold increase in battery power permitted this year, which has led to drivers focusing on energy management during qualifying laps and causing worrying closing speeds between cars using different levels of battery power. The sport's rulemakers are currently evaluating potential tweaks to the regulations in time for the next Miami Grand Prix. Russell believes that there are enough "low-hanging fruit" to improve the situation in the short-term. The FIA is holding three meetings this month to finalise plans for changes to F1 rules before the start of May.
