A Durham woman, Letia Soto, took her pet, Baby Boo, out for a walk at Lovett Square Apartments and was attacked by two larger dogs, appearing to be pit bulls. Despite a neighbor distracting the dogs with a stick, it was too late for Baby Boo to die. Soto described the attack as "as if he had waited to say goodbye to me" by the time police arrived. The police are currently searching for the dogs responsible for the attack.
