Brooklyn City Council is expected to approve a modification of rental fees for rec amenities at the Memphis Avenue complex. The new year-round pavilion, which will seat 128 people, is part of the $3 million Veterans Memorial Park renovation project. The rental fee for the new pavilion will include a $200 refundable security deposit with a $55 per hour weekday/$75 per hour weekend cost. The previous outdoor payment structure had a $25 security deposit for residents and $50 for non-residents. The overall project also includes updating basketball and tennis court surfaces to accommodate pickleball, volleyball, and fitness spaces.
