The pelvic floor, a region of the body that is often overlooked by men, is made up of the same muscle tissue as our biceps, hamstrings, and quads. Jessica Magee, a pelvic physical therapist, believes that men should pay more attention to their pelvic floors, which are responsible for four primary functions including bladder and bowel control, sexual function, stabilizing the torso, and supporting the pelvic organs. Causes of pelvic floor dysfunction include infection to cancer, obesity, constipation, stress and injury. Ignoring these issues can reduce quality of life and harm personal relationships.
