Local restaurant Estella is facing the loss of its license due to a party held with New England Patriots players in late January, which allegedly involved after-hours drinking, hookah, weed, and naked dancers. The Licensing Board is set to vote on these violations, which include the sale of liquor after hours, permitting the smoking of hookah and cannabis indoors indoors, and unauthorized adult entertainment. Boston Police responded to a reported noise disturbance at Estella about 2:19 a.m. on Jan. 27, with around 30 people in the basement, the strong smell of marijuana and tobacco, and three women who were either nude or partially nude hiding in the back stairwell. The owner, Helder George Brandao, stated that the players left without paying their tabs and he is considering filing a lawsuit against them.
