Fifty House Democrats have filed legislation to create a commission to remove President Trump from office using the Twenty-Fifth Amendment. The bill, introduced by House Judiciary Ranking Member Jamie Raskin, would establish a Commission on Presidential Capacity to Discharge the Powers and Duties of the Office and would allow Congress to complete its part in the process. It also requires the commission to hold a medical examination of the president to determine if he is mentally or physically unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office. However, it is highly unlikely that this will be successful, with a veto by the Republican-controlled House and a majority of both the House and Senate.
