The $230 million project would create six buildings on a 26-acre site off Plain Street in South Braintree, Massachusetts, with 76 of the buildings being "affordable" as defined by state law. The project has been planned for since 2025 and is expected to generate as much as $1.2 million in annual tax revenues. The proposal is being considered by the planning board for more input. The MBTA Communities Act, signed into law five years ago, requires communities in eastern Massachusetts to change their zoning to allow multifamily housing near public transit. The site is a former site of Armstrong World Industries.
