Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is set to open its new home on John Young Parkway, nearly five years after a fire destroyed its Orlando shelter. The new facility will have dedicated adoption spaces, outdoor play space, and a state-of-the-art veterinary clinic for shelter pets. The fire, which caused 17 cats to die, has hampered Pet Alliance's ability to rescue animals from area's kill shelters. The organization still needs $315,000 out of the $15 million raised for the new facility.
