East Texas gas jumps to $3.16 as oil prices climb

The average gas price in East Texas has risen to $3.16 per gallon, largely due to the ongoing Iran conflict. Daniel Armbruster, the Texas spokesperson for the American Automobile Association, said that oil prices fluctuate from above $100 per barrel to below $90, then back into the mid-$90s. He warned that even with the volatility, gas prices are likely to remain close to what they will be in spring 2024.
