Denver Pride has expanded its festivities to include monthlong programming and a single day of PrideFest on June 28. The Center on Colfax, a nonprofit that provides free services to the LGBTQ community, is aiming to raise over $2 million from event sponsors this year. Major events include the Vizzy Denver Pride Parade and Pride 5K at Cheesman Park. Additional events are intended to highlight historically underrepresented groups within the LGBT community. Over 80% of the Center's proceeds from Denver Pride are used for year-round services. Despite losing federal funding last year, this year's major corporations did not pull funding for Denver Pride.
