Turkey launches first overseas deep-sea drilling mission in Somalia

Turkey's deep-sea drilling vessel, Cagri Bey, has arrived in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Mogadishu, Somalia for the first time to conduct the country's first deep-se drilling operation abroad. The planned well will reach a depth of 7,500 metres, making it one of the world's deepest offshore drilling operations. The project is expected to last around 10 months.
