Former bassist Melissa Auf der Maur's new book, "Even the Good Girls Will Cry: A ‘90s Rock Memoir," details her time in Chicago as a budding musician and cassette tape DJ. The book, which includes 400 pages of her experiences, also chronicles her friendship with Billy Corgan, who she credits with influencing her life. The author also documented her experiences with Hole, The Smashing Pumpkins, and their ex-girlfriend Courtney Love. The only outside material used to write her book was her own memories and photos taken during her decade of touring. The most harrowing passages about her and her daughter are some of the most harrowing of the book.
