Hobbs signed bills on post-divorce agreements, teacher tuition

The Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs has signed several bills this week, doubling the number of legislation approved by her this session, including laws for post-divorce agreements and free tuition for community college students at the Arizona Teachers Academy. She also rejected legislation to require public school districts and the Arizona Department of Education to post contracts for superintendents and top administrators online. The Senate gave final approval to legislation to make encouraging minors to kill themselves a felony manslaughter offense if the minor dies by suicide. The bills also included a bill to opt Arizona into the new federal school choice scholarship tax credit program, similar to the state's current system.
