Mamdani’s 100 days of reality: Flipping-flopping to smarter policies

New York City Mayor Mamdani has made a significant turnaround in his first 100 days in office, with a shift from unworkable pledges to more common-sense policies. While he has made significant progress in some areas, he continues to hold onto controversial positions that he believes are still effective in policing and public education. He has also reversed his policy of ending sweeps of homeless encampments after more than a dozen died outside during the cold, and supported the City Council's budget-busting plan to expand CityFHEPS housing vouchers. However, there are still critical areas where Maddani is holding fast to positions that we feel are wrong for New York, including taxes and Israel's stance on the right to exist as a Jewish state.
