The worst of the snowstorm has ended, but it will continue to affect the lives of individuals in rural areas, particularly in open areas, through Monday evening. The blizzard warning expired an hour early Monday afternoon and a winter weather advisory took its place, remaining in effect until 9 p.m. Despite a little light snow, there will be no additional accumulation. Despite wind gusts of up to 40 mph, temperatures will drop into the single digits overnight with wind chills around five to 10 degrees below zero. Despite this, the wind will still gust up to 30 mph. The warning will remain in place for the remainder of the day, with temperatures expected to remain in the mid-50s.
