Tate has announced its blockbuster 2027 London programme

Tate Britain and Tate Britain have announced their full programme for 2027, with the UK's largest gallery conglomerate, Tate Britain, set to host a series of exhibitions throughout the year. The institution's first exhibition will focus on Claude Monet's relationship with time, focusing on his relationship with modern life and his influence on impressionism and post-impressionism, will include a major exhibition on Monet: Painting Time (Feb 25-Jun 27), featuring loans from across the globe to examine how he evoked modern life through his work. The first time Tate Britain has hosted an exhibition of Sonia Boyce, exploring her work as part of the Black Arts Movement of the 1980s. The largest exhibition to date will be on Indian artist Nalini Malani, with Tate Modern focusing on contemporary American artist Lynda Benglis. Summer will feature a major multimedia installation by David Hockney to coincide with his 90th birthday. The 2027 season will also see the return of Tate Modern’s three major annual commissions, including the Infinities Commission in the Tanks, the Tate Play, and the world-owned Hyundai Commission for Uniqlo Tate Play.
