Plea Deal Offered To Woodbridge Man Accused Of Wrong-Way Fatal Crash; He's Also Wanted By ICE

Silvino Ruiz Alonso, a 28-year-old Woodbridge man, is facing multiple charges including first-degree aggravated manslaughter, vehicular homicide, second-degree assault, and third-degree endangering. If he accepts the plea deal, he will serve 12 years in state prison. The state also wants him to serve five years in vehicular manslaughter, which will be served concurrently as the 12-year sentence for aggravated manslaughter. Alonso is also wanted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which has issued a detainer to arrest Alsonso. The fatal crash occurred on Rt. 27 on Feb. 18.
