CheCheChevoy is set to introduce a new generation of its full-size Silverado for 2027, with a new small-block V-8 engine and larger displays on display in the cabin. The Silverado, Chevrolet's bestselling model, is also the second-best-selling vehicle in the country, moving a whopping 577,434 units in 2025. The vehicle will likely sit on a modified version of the T1 body-on-frame platform found beneath the current Silverado and will likely bring improvements to ride quality while retaining workhorse capability. The new small engine is expected to replace the current 5.3-liter eight-cylinder and be replaced by a new unit, with reports suggesting it will come in two sizes, 5.7 and 6.6 liters. The updated architecture will likely spawn a next-generation GMC Sierra truck and new iterations of General Motors' full-sized SUVs. The current 577-3-litre Silverado will continue to be offered in various configurations. The company is investing $888 million in the Tonawanda Propulsion plant for the production of a next generation V-Eight engine.
